Youth Pan Am Update: TeamUSA Wins 3 of 4 Team Events - 2 minutes read

The 2021 ITTF Pan American Youth Championships is underway in the Dominican Republic this week. The Team Events concluded on Tuesday and the remainder of the week will be focused on Singles and Doubles events.
Of the four team events, TeamUSA has won Girls U19, Girls U15, and Boys U15. In the U19 Boys event, the Americans fell to eventual champions Brazil in the Semifinal.
In U15 Boys Teams, the American team of Darius Fahimi, Nandan Naresh, Daniel Tran, and Jensen Feng won five matches including wins in the single elimination over Brazil, Peru, and the Dominican Republic on their way to taking the title.
In the U15 Girls Teams, TeamUSA’s Sarah Jalli, Sally Moyland, Emily Tan, and Faith Hu won five matches including topping Guatemala 3-0 in the Semifinal and beating Canada 3-0 in the Final.
In the U19 Girls Teams, TeamUSA’s Amy Wang, Rachel Sung, Joanna Sung, and Angie Tan won five matches including topping Puerto Rico 3-1 in the Semifinal and beating Mexico 3-1 in the Final.
The U19 Boys team finished 3-1, topping Colombia, Chile, and Mexico before falling to Brazil. The squad included Jayden Zhou, Sid Naresh, and Aziz Zarehbin,
Play continues tomorrow with Doubles knock-out rounds, and preliminary Singles matches.
