NBA Superfan shares photos of practice court for Space Jam 2
The NBA offseason is providing plenty of interest in regard to the moves ahead of next season, but it also is showing us a look at the beginnings of production for Space Jam 2. While the movie won’t be released until 2021, 25 years after the original, fans get an inside (or.. outside) look at the court LeBron James and company will be able to play on while spending much of their time on set for the movie. The tennis court at NBA superfan Jimmy Goldstein’s house in LA has been converted to a basketball court featuring LeBron James’ logo, which is now “temporarily the world’s first infinity basketball court.” Michael Jordan’s agent negotiated the creation of the “Jordan Dome,” for the Space Jam star to hoop in during production and the court was home to some legendary pickup games. While video exists of those games in small selection, the basketball played on Club James Court begs to be streamed. Or maybe Netflix can turn a Beyonce’ Homecoming-style behind-the-scenes documentary and have it released before Space Jam 2 in order to hold us over as we, the audience, waits.
