Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!

You may have noticed the Disney Magic was mysteriously missing from the schedule at the end of 2020.  Well, this week Disney cleared that up and released those sail dates.  In November and December the Magic will be sailing out of Miami on 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-night itineraries to the Bahamas and Caribbean.  Mystery solved!

Kudos to DCL, again, who was voted the No. 1 Ocean Cruise Line among those carrying 2,200 passengers or more by the readers of Travel+Leisure Magazine!

Here’s this week’s special offers. Most every week of the year, Disney Cruise Line releases special offers for Florida Residents and U.S. Military Personnel.  There are also frequently IGT/OGT/VGT rates available for all guests to book.  These offers are extremely limited in availability, and all come with certain restrictions, but the prices are amazing! You can book these online, on the phone, or with your travel agent. These are the current offers available this week:

The following films are being shown aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships this month:

For future reference, films debut on Disney Cruise Line the same day of their initial release in the United States. Films do vary by ship. Show times are available in your Personal Navigator or the official Disney Cruise Line app.

Since we are smack dab in the middle of the Europe and Alaska travel season, let’s talk about traveling home from abroad.  If you have Global Entry already, you know what a time saver it can be.  Global Entry can greatly expedite your re-entry into the United States.  If you don’t have it, it’s worth it!  It costs $100, and is good for five years.  If you don’t already have TSA PreCheck, it’s an even better value because TSA PreCheck is included!  Instead of paying $85 for TSA PreCheck, get Global Entry for $15 more and benefit from both.  After Global Entry approval, you’ll receive a card in the mail with your Trusted Traveler Number.   When you re-enter the U.S. there will be a special (usually much shorter) line just for Global Entry.  FYI, the only time I have actually had to show the card to enter the Global Entry line is in Vancouver, but it’s always a good idea to bring it.

If you are traveling soon, it’s probably too late to apply for Global Entry,  but I have an alternative: Mobile Passport.  Mobile Passport is an app that you use to create a profile with your passport information.  After landing, you will complete the “New Trip” section and receive a digital receipt with a bar code that you will use to bypass the regular lines.  Just follow the Mobile Passport signs.  The best part about Mobile Passport?  It’s free!  That’s right – zero dollars.  A price we can all afford!
