Tom Ford Ambrosia Eyeshadow Quad - 2 minutes read
Ambrosia
Tom Ford Beauty The Ambrosia Eye Color Quad was another flop in Tom Ford’s autumn collection. Tom Ford often adds a more emollient, often sheerer, glittering hue in their quads, but the ones in Ambrosia were extremely dry and harder, making them difficult to pick up, have poor adherence, and be more prone to fallout.
Ingredients
Ambrosia #1
Ambrosia #1 is a light copper with warm orange undertones and a glistening gloss. Was surprised by how dry it felt–it wasn’t quite as emollient or smooth as the majority of the brand’s glittery colours from previous quads.
Semi-sheer pigmentation; hard to build up
Firmly-pressed, drier, and picked up poorly with a brush
Prone to fallout during application, needed to be applied with an adhesive base/spray
Shorter wear (6 hours), moderate fallout over time
Ambrosia #2
Ambrosia #2 is a brighter, medium crimson with warm orange undertones and pink and copper specks scattered throughout. This, like the copper shade, was fairly dry and pushed firmly into the pan.
Semi-sheer pigmentation; hard to build up
Firmly-pressed, drier, and picked up poorly with a brush
Prone to fallout during application, needed to be applied with an adhesive base/spray
Shorter wear (6 hours), moderate fallout over time
Ambrosia #3
Ambrosia #3 is a vibrant, medium-dark raspberry pink with cold undertones and a matte texture.
Semi-opaque pigmentation
Finely-milled, lightly powdery, prone to sheering
Blended out evenly but best over a primer to minimize sheerness/fallout
Average-wearing (7.5 hours)
Ambrosia #4
Ambrosia #4 is a matte medium-dark purpled-taupe with faint, chilly undertones.
Semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation
Finely-milled, lightly powdery, prone to sheering out a bit
Blended out evenly but best over a primer to minimize sheerness/fallout
Average-wearing (7.5 hours)
