Tenimesista Daniel González already suffered and cried all he had to cry after not reaching the ticket to the Tokyo Olympics.
Now enjoy a well-deserved week of rest before returning to work again to train for that Olympic dream that will be reborn in three years.
“My gaze is practically on the next Olympic cycle and to work hard to achieve the goal of going to Paris 2024. It was possible now (to go to Tokyo) and it is always possible,” González told EL VOCERO .
The 27-year-old from Utba arrived on Monday with Brian Afanador, Melanie Díaz and Adriana Díaz from Rosario, Argentina, where he tried to seek his qualification for the upcoming Olympics.
González reached the quarterfinals of the second qualifying round after losing 4-1 to Ecuadorian Alberto Mino. Prior to that, he won a 4-1 win over the Jamaican Simon Tomlinson and lost by the same score against the Chinese nationalized Jiaji Wu, in round 16 of the first qualifying phase.
