We want to clarify that we don't think Las Vegas is dangerous. Most of the action is concentrated on the Vegas Strip, which has historically been relatively safe. Not only is the area well-lit (the neon signs and bright lighting are helpful), but there is a noticeable police presence at all times. Most of the city's large hotel-casinos provide ample security, including surveillance cameras and staff.
