Fred Again.. ‘s career as a solo artist has not been a slow burn. He’s previously performed at iconic festivals like as Coachella and Electric Forest, and his North American Headline tour, which featured numerous nights at New York‘s Terminal 5, was sold out. His third album in the Actual Life series, released today, includes samples meticulously picked from voice notes from friends, Instagram posts, and albums he like.
He blends them with his own, emotive producing approach to produce something that feels more than an album. It’s as though we’re listening in on a sound journal. A scrapbook made out of discovered materials to create something that, when seen as a whole, is considerably larger than the sum of its parts. It will be fascinating to see what 2023 has in store for Fred Again..
