This is great news for anyone who has ever daydreamed of Prince Harry wearing a This Is What A Feminist Looks Like t-shirt. This revelation comes courtesy of Meghan Markle, who recently sat down for an interview with feminist icon Gloria Steinem to talk about the upcoming biopic, The Glorias (which is about Gloria Steinem over the course of her life), as well as why it’s important to vote in the November election. Uh oh, someone prepare Piers Morgan’s Valium dosage accordingly, Meghan is talking politics again.

Vanity Fair says the “backyard chat” was filmed in Montecito, probably at Meghan’s new multi-million dollar estate, in association with MAKERS Women. Here’s a little clip in tasteful black and white (with a special guest appearance by Meghan and Harry’s dogs).

When it came to talking about The Glorias, Meghan noted that one thing she has come to realize is that, “it’s not mutually exclusive to be a feminist and be feminine.” Gloria replied, “Well, you can be a feminist and be masculine and a guy.” A point which Meghan decided to illustrate with a story featuring her husband Harry. via People magazine:

“Like my husband!” Meghan said. “I love that when he just came in he said, ‘You know that I’m a feminist too, right Gloria?! It’s really important to me that you know that.’ I look at our son and what a beautiful example that he gets to grow up with a father who is so comfortable owning that as part of his own self-identification. That there’s no shame in being someone who advocates for fundamental human rights for everyone, which of course includes women.”

Gloria added that it’s also good for their son Archie to see his dad be loving and nurturing. I know it might feel a little redundant that any of this has to be said in the year 2020. But I guess it makes a bit more sense when you remember that Harry comes from the kind of family that probably tossed him a tube of industrial-strength Upper Lip Stiffener whenever he fell and skinned his knee.

For anyone wondering if Meghan’s interview with Gloria counts as work, well – it’s pretty much the only work The Sussexes are doing at the moment. A few months ago it was reported that Harry and Meghan had signed with a speaking agency, that could land them some sweet speaking engagements. A source that spoke with Vanity Fair is now saying that Harry and Meghan’s current focus is outreach and social activism. But that’s most likely because there just aren’t too many opportunities to collect a speaking gig check at the moment.

“The focus is on projects and campaigns that mean something to them and are in line with their views, so that includes civil rights, women empowerment and movements like BLM,” said a source close to the couple. While there has been anticipation that the couple will take on public speaking engagements in order to make money Harry and Meghan are currently focused on their campaign work, and working out how to monetize some of their projects. “They have to earn a living and clearly there isn’t a market for after-dinner talking right now, so the public speaking is on hold for the moment and they are exploring other avenues.”

Speaking of charity work, Harry and Meghan have also finally settled on a name for their charity. According to Page Six, what was once Sussex Royal, is now MWX Foundation.

It set out the change from the ‘Sussex Royal The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ to the ‘MWX Foundation’, with speculation this could stand for the Markle Windsor Foundation. The change comes just weeks after they filed to change the name of their Sussex Royal charity to MWX, but then withdrew the application just nine minutes later.

MWX Foundation should not be confused with the Archewell Foundation. Harry and Meghan revealed the existence of Archewell, named after their son, back in April, and it was quickly targeted by internet trolls. The last we heard about Archewell, The Daily Mail was reporting that Archewell wasn’t going to be formally launched until 2021, because they wanted to focus on BLM and COVID-19 relief. There was also a bit of a mess with the finances of Sussex Royal, with Harry being accused of misappropriating Royal Foundation funds. But as of yet, Harry hasn’t been found guilty of mismanaging any charity money.

As for the name they chose for their charity rebrand, Page Six is probably correct when they guess that it could stand for their last names (Harry’s last name, when he uses one, is Windsor). But it’s clear that Harry and Meghan didn’t have stupid dummies in mind when they chose the name MWX, because all I can think of now is Harry and Meghan whipping around a dirt track, doing sick jumps on BMX bikes.
