Lullaby - 1 minute read
What do we hope to plan and pray for our children and our children's children?
In general, we are obligated to protect nature so that they do have a future on sustainable earth; but above recycling and physical properties of protecting their environment how would we like our offspring to live?
Current crises of the pandemic and the difficulties of living together in communities that cherish and value all races and all creeds- all of humanity, surely brings this question to the fore.
We are propelled into politics in order to use our voices to each have our say in how and who we wish to manage our resources; how humans must treat other humans who all bleed the same colour blood.
On the birth of my first child, I had a wish that is still true today. I wrote about it then in this poem which is simply titled- Lullaby
For my daughter:
Lullaby
Two eyes
Two ears
Strong, long body
A hope:
May your life be filled with Joy
And.blessed
with love.
Find someone, to care for
who cares, for you
Be happy
have fun
Achieve
In all, that you do
They are all the plans
And hopes
that I have
nurtured
and carried
with you.
