Reese Cooper's SS20 Collection Explores America's Scenic Side
Editor’s Notes: 2019 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Reese Cooper expands “on his narrative of traveling across America, exploring the small towns and communities tucked into the most scenic and majestic natural landscapes.” “How a Letter Travels” references the United States Postal Service, a metaphor for the above-mentioned journey.
The technical fabrics were designed for travelers who find themselves in different climates — lightweight, nylon jackets, trousers, and shorts, as well as a custom camo fabric printed from a design painted by the designer himself. There are also knitwear pieces made from recycled paper and cotton with an architectural drawing of the Ojai California Post Office, as well as patched denim jeans, jackets, and outerwear with embroidered postage stamps.
