Biopic In The Works On Disgraced Boy Band Manager Lou Pearlman
The scandal-plagued life of late Backstreet Boys/*NSYNC manager Lou Pearlman will be heading to the screen.
The Hollywood Reporter is revealing that plans are in the works for a biopic about the boy band impresario who spent his final years behind bars after receiving a 25-year sentence for conspiracy, money laundering, and other charges.
According to THR, Pearlman’s story will be told in “Transcon”, to be produced by Edward Pressman (“Wall Street”), former Village Roadshow CEO Greg Basser, fashion marketing guru David Anton and songwriters Desmond Child and Andreas Carlsson, who wrote numerous hits for Pearlman’s groups in the 1990s. In addition, the duo will also write new music for the “Transcon” soundtrack.
