This week, Bowmar Sports announced that Shahin Akhlaghpasand, Coach and Youth Training Program Director at Austin Table Tennis Association has joined the Bowmar Sports Butterfly Team.  Shahin has previously won the Iranian National Championship, and was a representative of the Iranian National Team for nearly 20 years (1998-2007) as a player, advisor, and team captain.  He played in the 2004 Olympics and competed in the World Championships.  As a coach, he is an ITTF certified instructor and has completed the Olympic Solidarity course.  He has designed training programs for youth, national training camps, and has coached and played in both the German Budesliga and the Iranian Super League.

Bowmar Sports looks forward to supporting Shahin and his efforts to grow and serve the table tennis community in Austin.
