The popular Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 ‘Wave Runner’ is set to resurface on March 22. With this chunky pair of sneakers, Ye (formerly Kanye West) ushered in the dad shoe movement in 2017. Adidas has released a variety of ‘Wave Runner’ iterations over the years. The next colorway will be the sixth to be reintroduced.

The ‘Wave Runner’ has previously been released in the color schemes Fade Azure, Inertia, and Wash Orange. However, collectors continue to prefer the original grey mesh uppers with black suede overlay panels and blue panels at the forefoot. Neon yellow shoelaces, a white Boost cushioned midsole with orange hits on the heel, and a black rubber outsole round out the original pair’s features.

The ‘Wave Runner’ was not well received when it was first released because the sneakers’ silhouette was drastically different from the more popular ones. The oversubscribed pre-orders, on the other hand, silenced all the naysayers. It quickly rose to prominence as the most popular pair of sneakers among celebrities and influencers. The ‘Wave Runner’ was inducted into the Yeezy Hall of Fame as well.
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 ‘Wave Runner’ will be restocked on March 22nd, and “Everyone who wants Yeezys will get Yeeyzs!” says Ye. Get your hands on a pair of the ever-popular ‘Wave Runner’ at GOAT or Flight Club. More Yeezys can be found here.
