How to attract more long-term and valid customers to your Australian business? - 5 minutes read
5 Tips of Australian Business Advertising
With more than ten years experience in Sales, Marketing and Customer service, I state and agree with the quote: “People buy from people they like”. Undoubtedly, I agree! You might walk into the store, and the shop assistant will make you feel at home; you might be buying a new property, and a real estate agent makes you fall in love with their engaging personality and knowledge. Perhaps, you have a chat with your artist-friend selling tickets to her premier and of course, you are keen to buy. Why? Because you have a bond, so-called relationships and as a matter of fact, this person would be the best in the field. Can you relate to that? Trust is a huge “device” we are utilising when making purchasing decisions.
The minor problem is that we can’t rely only on friends buying a product or services all the time. Only by increasing market share and more opportunities for our businesses to cover more extensive scope, attract more valuable-long term clientele what we, business owners, are striving for. The best advice is to stay authentic and genuine, be you. New after the Covid-19 era brings authenticity to the front! The online business challenge is that a buyer cannot see you as a business owner, which means they are technically buying from “strangers”. Not like “strangers-dangers”, you might have a solid Brand awareness and the product line and service that are talking for itself but did you build a stronger bond with your clientele yet?
5 Tips on how to attract more customers to your business
Be Authentic and real
Perfection always tempting, but we are, humans, far from ideal. I can feel your sigh now. However, authenticity can attract “right” clients to your business. Because true “You” always attract clients that are aligning with your interests, passion. Therefore, the audience can buy if they are related to your services and products, so do You. For instance, if you have a hobby- mention it within your content, if you love travelling- share the story of your latest trips if your product resulting from your latest discoveries- note that.
Advertise via a storytelling
Advertising is important. Yes, it is. We learned how to advertise our content on social media and offline via books and unique marketing formulas that work. However, add personalisation to the content. Let your content speak from the heart. Utilise less I, more You- literally, replace I. Make sure your content is about a customer, what the customer is looking for? The story of your business (products/services) has been referred to a reader. Remember, the level of your business is your desire to help others, not yourself. Advertise “smart-sensitive”. Smile when you write…
Engage with influencers
Well, if you don’t engage and don’t comment on blogs/vlogs content- you are not in the business game entirely. Influencers have the capacity to endorse your product and services. They have an enormous auditorium and opportunities to promote your content on Google and Social Media. Just like us, Ubizblog, we talk about your passion and journey as a business owner. Your potential client might get to know you quickly via online/editorial content, mentions. More content means more traffic to your business, but “right” traffic. It has a triple effect- it spreads quickly.
Support groups with similar interests
Make sure, genuine You is aligning with supporters via relevant groups. If your target audience is mums with kids- join mums’ groups; if you are a writer-join group supporting writers. Like Writers Across Australia, for example, or multiple business groups on Facebook supporting Australian businesses: Aussie Small Business Advertising as an example. Ensure of helping companies and comments in return! If your business promotes Travel packages, special deals- join groups with an audience looking for specials, offers, sales. Trust me, you will provide a considerable value related to the “You” audience.

Imagine they see you for the first time and liked your comments, statements, answers.
