With Collabora Online Office you can edit texts or tables together with other people in real time directly in EGroupware! With the file sharing function, you can also directly involve external parties (partners, customers or employees in the home office).

What is Collabora Online?
Collabora Online is a powerful LibreOffice-based office suite with collaborative editing functionality. This browser-based online version supports all common document types such as text documents (doc, docx, odt), spreadsheet (xls, xlsx, ods) and presentation files (ppt, pptx, odp). All you need is a current browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
Joint editing in real time
EGroupware users can work on the same document in real time with different devices at the same time. External users can also be included via a Collabora sharing link. Documents can be saved directly as PDFs in the EGroupware file system, downloaded or sent again as email attachments.
Edit Office documents online
The installation of a local Office programme is not necessary. With Collabora Online, documents are processed exclusively in the browser. The option to install the software on a company’s own server is a considerable plus for many companies, especially with regard to data security.
Benefit from template documents
You collect your data in EGroupware, use template documents with placeholders and then insert the content into your documents. Further processing or saving as a PDF is again done directly in the Online Office. This way you can write and send offers or invoices directly from EGroupware and document them in the CRM.

Collabora licence models
Licences for the Collabora full version are based on the number of active users who have access to Collabora. Another licensing model is Collabora Lite, which is based on the number of documents opened simultaneously (minimum 50), but does not offer discounts for NGO or multi-year contracts. For personal use or testing, the community product Collabora CODE is also available.
