Huda Beauty Jaguar Wild Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette - 4 minutes read

Jaguar

Huda Beauty Jaguar Obsessions Eyeshadow PaletteHuda Beauty Jaguar Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette is a new, smokier color story that included four matte eyeshadows and five shimmer eyeshadows. I felt like the colors worked well together with the exception of the gold (#3), which seemed oddly warm-toned compared to other shades in the palette. The majority of the eyeshadows were pigmented, blendable, and easy to work with, though there was one shimmer shade that was sheerer and worked more as a topper/iridescent layer of shine and sparkle (which I know some enjoy!).

Jaguar #1

Jaguar #1 has a medium-dark, slightly warmed-up taupe base with lighter, grayish-taupe shimmer and sparkle that yielded an intensely metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, almost cream-powder consistency that wasn’t overly dense, so it picked up well with a dry brush but could certainly be intensified with a wet brush. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Jaguar #2

Jaguar #2 is a light-medium taupe with cool, purplish undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and blended out well, though it sheered out slightly and had to be built up for fuller coverage. It had a soft, lightly powdery texture that was thin but not difficult to use. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Jaguar #3

Jaguar #3 is a rich, medium gold with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented with a smooth, almost cream-like texture that was dense without being too thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan, so it worked well with dry and wet brushes. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Jaguar #4

Jaguar #4 is a deep, reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff paired with a soft, smooth, and blendable texture that was slightly powdery but not prone to sheering out or having fallout. It stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Jaguar #5

Jaguar #5 seemed to have a grayish, slightly translucent base packed full with multi-dimensional shimmer that gave it a purplish-black appearance with pops of pink and silver sparkle. It had medium color coverage, which didn’t really build up, but the effect was shiny and sparkly so for some, that might work just fine. The consistency was lightly emollient, which helped a lot of the shimmer/sparkle adhere and minimized fallout. It wore decently for eight hours with light fallout over time.

Jaguar #6

Jaguar #6 is a deep, golden taupe with subtle, warm olive undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was dense but not too firmly-pressed into the pan, so I had no trouble picking up product and applying it to bare skin. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Jaguar #7

Jaguar #7 is a light peach with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was moderately powdery, so while it had more opaque coverage initially, the product sheered out a bit in practice and had some fallout. It stayed on well for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

Jaguar #8

Jaguar #8 is a deep black with neutral undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was slightly more firmly-pressed into the pan, but it wasn’t stiff so it picked up well with a brush and blended out well. I felt like I had good control for payoff and precision with the press overall. The eyeshadow wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Huda Beauty Jaguar #9 Eyeshadow

Jaguar #9

Jaguar #9 is a darker, warm plum base with flecks of lighter purple and greenish-gold micro-sparkle throughout. The eyeshadow had mostly opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin with slight fallout during the initial application. The texture was moderately dense, not overly firm or too thick, and picked up evenly with a dry brush. I would recommend using a dampened brush to get a smoother, more even layer of product that wasn’t prone to fallout, though. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.
