The Five Places You HAVE To Shop In Disney World
When you hear the words “Walt Disney World,” what do you think of? State-of-the-art attractions? Incredible entertainment? Epcot’s famous festivals?
How about SHOPPING — does that spring to mind?
In truth, Walt Disney World is full of great shopping. From Mickey-themed souvenirs to luxury handbags, they have it all. While some stores have a lot of the same items, there are others that have great, unique collections!
Here are 5 of our favorite stores you HAVE to stop in at Walt Disney World!
Marketplace Co-op is one of our favorites because it’s like six stores in one! Disney Springs uses Co-op as a “testing ground” for retail concepts, before they roll out full-size stores! The set-up reminds me of a fancy straw market, where each “stall” has its own Disney boutique. Currently you’ll find Disney Centerpiece (home goods), Cherry Tree Lane (women’s apparel), D-Tech (tech accessories), Tag (travel goods), Twenty Eight and Main (men’s apparel), and the Wonderground Gallery (Disney art).
Do you love Haunted Mansion? Of course you do! Memento Mori is your headquarters for all things spooky, and located just outside the attraction in Magic Kingdom. From apparel to home goods, you can find all kinds of goodies perfect for the Happy Haunts at your home!
Located in Epcot’s Japan Pavilion, Mitsukoshi is one of the coolest stores in all of Disney World! From Pokemon to Hello Kitty, you’ll find all kinds of Japanese character merchandise. There is also the opportunity to buy real pearls — and you can watch them open the oysters to find them! Mitsukoshi also sells authentic Japanese kimonos, incense, and best of all, crazy Japanese candy and snacks! In fact, you can watch a taste test of a few of the items in this video:
Tatooine Traders is your Star Wars merchandise headquarters — at least until Galaxy’s Edge opens. Located at the exit of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Tatooine Traders has apparel, pet supplies, toys, and more, all decked out with Star Wars characters and designs!
What’s better than a regular shop? A CANDY SHOP. And Goofy’s Candy Co. in Disney Springs is the ultimate candy shop. They have all kinds of sweets and treats — like Goofy Glaciers Frozen Drinks, crazy hand-spun cotton candy, and customizable treats.
