Plush Like Me
ColourPop Plush Like Me 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is new for fall with a orange/red themed color story that included eight matte shades and four shimmer shades. All 12 shades performed well–they were pigmented, blendable, long-wearing, and easy to work with. The biggest “con” was that some of the mattes were on the powdery side, which is consistent with the brand’s matte formula generally, but there wasn’t really much fallout to contend with.
Look Using this Product
Runway
Runway is a light-medium beige with soft, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff, but the consistency was moderately powdery, which resulted in some sheerness during application. It lasted well for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.
Ironic
Ironicis a light, taupe-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was somewhat powdery in the pan, so I’d recommend using a lighter hand and/or tapping off excess to avoid fallout during application. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
Slip Dress
Slip Dress is a bright, medium orange with strong, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color coverage paired with a smooth, more velvety consistency that was somewhat powdery in the pan but not prone to sheering out or having fallout during application. It wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.
Video Nite
Video Nite is a light, peachy copper with warmer undertones and a high-shine, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had a more loosely-pressed feel, but it had good slip, so it adhered well to bare skin with opaque coverage that remained blendable along the edges without being prone to fallout. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Throwback
Throwback is a light-medium, rosy copper with warm undertones and a metallic finish. The consistency was smooth, lightly emollient, and almost cream-like, but it wasn’t overly dense. It had opaque color payoff that stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Velour
Velour is a medium-dark, burnt orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency felt smooth, velvety, and lightly powdery in the pan, but it had full pigmentation in a single layer that wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.
TLC
TLC is a deep gold with moderate, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The eyeshadow had rich pigmentation paired with a smooth, lightly emollient consistency that was dense without being overly firm. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Depp
Depp is a light brown with warmer, muted yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had a smooth, velvety texture that was lightly powdery in the pan but maintained its full opacity when applied to bare skin. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Girl Band
Girl Band is a deep, red-brown with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented, while the consistency was soft, blendable, and a little powdery in the pan, but I didn’t notice much fallout, if any, during application. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Knee Highs
Knee Highs is a medium-dark red with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was lightly emollient, almost cream-like, and dense without being thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.
Flannel
Flannel is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage paired with a soft, blendable consistency that was lightly powdery but not prone to much fallout. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Velvet One
Velvet One is a medium-dark burgundy with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The product had a smooth, velvety consistency that was slightly thinner than other mattes in the palette, but it applied evenly to bare skin and blended out without difficulty. It lasted well for eight and a half hours and left a stain behind.
