I've got to be honest with you, to this day those figures above still give me goosebumps.

I never thought I’d be one of those lucky people who got to live a jet-setting lifestyle, living on our own terms, and able to do pretty much whatever we want.

Aidan grew up on a farm New Zealand (for his fellow Kiwi’s, he lived about 20 minutes out of Masterton).

He got started online almost by mistake… his wife (Carolina) is from Argentina.

He met her in 2003 in Lake Tahoe (stunning place) and shifted to Argentina shortly afterwards.

His first foray into internet marketing came in 2005 when he set up a Tango dance website. He had no idea what he was doing, but did it anyway.

This website didn’t make me much money, but I was able to eat for free in a number of Buenos Aires’ best steakhouses!

Fast forward to now, and his business has completely changed to how it was when he started out back in 2005.

These days, Aidan developed a range of different online businesses that fall into a few different categories, or ‘Pillars’.

Pillar #1. Niche Websites & eCommerce Stores – These continue to be a great source of income for us. Although the web has changed enormously since 2005, the fundamentals of how to set up and run these kinds of websites remains very similar to what is was back then.

We sell these on the Amazon marketplace (Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, etc) but also offline in the likes of CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and other large ‘brick and mortar’ shops throughout the USA.

Pillar #5. Software as a Service – We have several software products that we sell on a subscription basis.

An example of one of these is NetBlaze, a solution to the marketing conundrum that small business owners face.

Others include tools specifically designed for webpage publishers, like conversion optimization tools, page builders, and more.

Pillar #6. Hosting & Domain Registration – Out of necessity (and frustration with mediocre providers), Steve and I built and run our own hosting and domain name registration company, Float Hosting.

Although still relatively unknown in the world of mega-companies that provide hosting and name registration (think Host Gator, GoDaddy, etc), Float Hosting serves thousands of customers as well as taking care of our own in-house needs.
