The Melt Cosmetics Water Bad Side Zodaic Eyeshadow Palette was introduced earlier this month as an eight-color color story with aquas, blues, and neutrals. The matte recipe appeared less dense/intense than Melt’s standard matte formula, but it was simpler to manipulate and build up. The shimmers were also less tightly pressed than I’d expect from Melt, which improved them.

Moody is a lighter, medium-green with chilly undertones and a warmer, gold shimmer over a metallic sheen.

Trust Issues

Trust Issues is a medium-dark sage green with cool undertones and a matte texture.

Emo

Emo is a matte medium-dark blue-teal with cold undertones. Despite the sheerer coverage, it built up and blended effectively over primer.

Ugly Crying

Ugly Crying is a navy blue with cool undertones and a matte texture that is quite dark but not inky. Because it appeared to be on the drier side, this shade functioned substantially better (like a new product!) over priming.

Dead Inside

Dead Inside is a dark blue foundation with delicate navy blue and teal pearl and sparkle flecks scattered throughout.
