After Charles Hoskinson, Vitalik Buterin is now also attacking XRP - 2 minutes read
Ripple CTO David Schwartz is not happy with Vitalik Buterin's statements about Ripple Labs and the XRP token. Schwartz lashes out, among other things, about the fact that Buterin doesn't know or pretends not to know what the difference is between Ripple and XRP. "He's been around for so long and still doesn't understand or doesn't pretend to understand that Ripple is a company and XRP is a digital asset," Schwartz said via Twitter.
“XRP is completely centralized”
Schwartz's response comes after a podcast appearance by Buterin calling XRP "completely centralized." According to Buterin, XRP has also never apologized for claims that Bitcoin and Ethereum are under Chinese control.

“It seems the only qualification needed to call yourself part of the crypto space is to use cryptography and change some things in the data structure. That is literally what you need to call yourself decentralized. You don't even need decentralization," Buterin said before talking about XRP.
XRP is still completely centralized and they still haven't apologized for writing documents to the US government stating that XRP is better than Bitcoin and Ethereum because these assets are completely Chinese owned. Buterin further.
Schwartz responds to these statements by stating that XRP cannot talk because it is not a company. Buterin, of course, is referring to Ripple Labs and, like so many people, confuses Ripple Labs and XRP. It may not be very respectful, but we can say the same about the actions of Ripple Labs that Buterin refers to.
Buterin is not alone
Incidentally, Buterin is not the only one at odds with Ripple Labs and the XRP community. Previously, it was also Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson who caused anger in the XRP community. According to Hoskinson, XRP provides no technical value and the community is toxic and petty.

Furthermore, Hoskinson indicates that he has nothing to do with XRP and that he will no longer comment on matters related to the token or Ripple Labs. It also seems that the community in question always tries to take advantage of the negative attention by launching an attack and thereby starting a media row.
