Success Stories Before and After Weight Loss: Jacqueline Farhinger - Health - 2020 - 3 minutes read
Jacqueline Fahringer, 34, 5'10 “Before 220 lbs. (Size 18) My weight problem started with motherhood: I had four babies in six years, and back pregnancy caused me to have problems carrying the baby’s pounds — caring for my babies (At one point I had three in my diaper!) I was still in the water. Still, I didn’t realize how heavy I was until I bought shorts in the summer of 2010. I started my tri-ons with 12 sizes and fit until I was 18 years old. I couldn’t find a pair like that! It was: I had to regain control of my body.
Parts, rescue
My first step? Signing up for the Nutrisystem. The program gave me structure, which is lost from my life. I didn’t have to plan what to eat anymore. Everything was left in the right-sized part, to help me with the double dinner. In 2½ months, I was 25 pounds down. Slipping behind the clothes I had given up hope of coming back was the only motivation for me to stick with it.
Next: 147 lbs. (Size 4) Total weight loss: 73 lbs. (Lost size: 14) Laura Borisenzi Jwaim Fair, controversial
After five months of healthy eating, I hit the treadmill and walked for 30 minutes three times a week, finally increasing to one hour five days a week. In less than a month I have lost another 10 pounds. I started my practice and added a bi-weekly workout with an instructor. He introduced me to circuit training, indoor cycling and riding. In May 2011 I hit my round 14ound target. Looking back I could see that it was easier for the kids to blame, why they left me. Honestly, it was just a weak decision. Now I have learned the importance of healthy choices. Most important: Make time for yourself.

My eatery: grilled chicken and arugula salad
It is simple and tastes good. It’s also a sensitive food that had a lot to take me to where I am now, which is why I eat it several times a week.
Preferred SNACK-attack booster: VEGGIES
I always have tons on my hands for quick healing, I fry the kale with some extra virgin olive oil. Sometimes I even drop a bag of raw broccoli to prevent me from going to the pantry to do something unhealthy.
Calorie Sizzler: Spin class
I wasn’t always gung-ho about it. My gym friends would call me “Jackie in the backy” because I would sit in the back of the door to easily escape.
Fitness Role Model: Jamie EASON
She has been an NFL cheerleader coach. I was inspired by her great body and seemingly true personality, so I incorporated her workouts into my lifestyle. I even make some of his recipes, such as meatloaf muffins from Turkey.
