All That Topaz

ColourPop‘s All That Topaz Pressed Powder Shadow Quad is a new topaz-inspired color story that comes in a clear plastic compact with two shimmers and two matte shades. The other three shades were pigmented, blendable, and very easy to work with. One of the shimmers had noticeable fallout and was best applied with a dampened brush or fingertip, but the other three were pigmented, blendable, and very easy to work with.

Good as Gild

Good as Gild is a pale yellow with a metallic sheen and warmer undertones. It had a mostly opaque color payoff that could easily be built up to full coverage. It had a light emollient texture, almost spongy to the touch, but it was blendable and didn’t cause fallout. It lasted for eight hours before visibly fading.

Gold Dust

Gold Dust is a deep marigold with warm undertones and a gleaming metallic finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but it had a more delicate texture–slightly loosely pressed–and was prone to fallout when used with a dry brush, even if I was careful and tried hard to avoid it. If fallout is a deal-breaker, I’d recommend using a dampened brush or a fingertip to avoid it. It lasted for eight hours before noticeably fading.

Natural State

Natural State has a matte finish and is a faded peachy-orange with warm undertones. The texture was silky, velvety, and slightly powdery, but it stayed put in the pan thanks to an opaque color payoff that blended well and didn’t fall out. It lasted for about eight hours before starting to fade.

Meridian

Meridian is a matte brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a deep, richer hue. It had a velvety, smooth texture that wasn’t powdery but wasn’t too firmly pressed into the pan, with nearly opaque pigmentation. It lasted for eight hours before visibly fading.
