Giuseppe Zanotti Unveils New COBRAS Sneaker With Young Thug - 2 minutes read
The Grammy Award-winning rapper has collaborated with Giuseppe Zanotti to help launch the designer’s newest sneaker line, COBRAS. Young Thug appears in a Cam Kirk-shot campaign wearing Zanotti’s latest sneaker style, which is now available in four tone-on-tone colorways: pink, red, black, and white.
The upper is made of luxe leather and was first seen during Milan Fashion Week in September. The star of the show for the low-top sneaker is its scaled 3D cobra with crystal-set eyes wrapped around the midsole and reappearing on the outsole. The snake iconography is frequently used by Zanotti in his dress shoe collections, but this is the first time he has used it on a sneaker.
Young Thug introduces the sneaker on the latest campaign in line with its bold aesthetic. “I have always loved the symbolism of the snake,” says Zanotti. “It is a powerful and dynamic motif I have explored in many collections, but never before on a sneaker.”
Speaking on Zanotti’s collection Thug explains, “He’s got the Italian style thing down but knows how to change it up and layer in the unexpected, the street. It’s fire.”
The COBRAS sneaker collection is now available at Giuseppe Zanotti boutiques, online at Giuseppe Zanotti, and at select retailers.
