Select enrolled American Express cardholders can save up to 50% (maximum discount $80) on Amazon Prime Day purchases by using 1 Amex Membership Rewards point.
This promotion is available until 5 p.m. Pacific Time on July 13, 2023, or until the maximum number of customers have redeemed the offer.
You'll need a Membership Rewards points-earning card linked to your Amazon account to take advantage, and not everyone is eligible.

If you have an American Express card that earns Amex Membership Rewards points, you could save a substantial amount of money on Amazon Prime Day. For a limited time, select cardholders who enroll can save up to 50% on qualifying items (maximum $80 discount) by using just 1 Amex point toward their Amazon purchase. 

This promotion is active now through July 13, 2023, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, or until 31,024 customers have redeemed the offer.

Save up to $80 on Amazon Prime Day Using 1 Amex Point

To see if you qualify for this Amex Amazon promotion, head to amazon.com/amexoffer and sign into your Amazon account if you haven't done so already. Make sure you've linked an eligible Amex Membership Rewards-earning card to your Amazon account, like The Platinum Card® from American Express, American Express® Gold Card, or Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card
; otherwise, you won't be able to redeem points toward your purchase.

Selected cardholders will see their offer, but not everyone gets the same discount. My account has an offer to save 40% on eligible items up to a maximum of $60 off.

Your discount may be up to 50% to a maximum of $80 off.

After you click "Activate Promotion," just shop as usual. Keep in mind not all products qualify for the promo; only items that are sold and shipped by Amazon are eligible for the discount. 

Once you're done shopping, on the payment screen, choose your linked American Express card account and redeem at least 1 point toward your purchase. You should see the discount reflected in your cart total.

The discount will automatically appear when you use at least 1 Amex point toward your purchase.

Be sure to check your Amex Offers** for more discounts or bonus points on Amazon purchases. This is a great opportunity to stack credit card rewards and deals with this promotion. Be sure to also check your favorite shopping portals for bonus rewards opportunities at Amazon. 

Using credit card points at Amazon isn't normally a good deal, because you'll often get a lower value for your rewards when you redeem them this way. But when there's a promotion like this, it can be very lucrative — and in most cases, you'll only be required to use a single point.
