Kodak Black Shares First Photo From Prison
Despite being locked up, Kodak Black appears to be in good spirits. The “Tunnel Vision” rapper returned to social media to share a new photo of himself from behind bars. He looks more or less the same as he did when he entered in May, smiling as he crouches in his prison uniform.
He captioned the photo: “The Streets Thin Na Cuz Everybody Gettin Hung .. Lawyers Sittin Back Suckin All A Ni*** Funds.” His attorney, Bradford Cohen, tells TMZ that the caption references old lyrics is not a shot at his defense team.
Kodak remains behind bars after being arrested on weapons charges in May for allegedly making false statements on gun applications. The 22-year-old MC was denied bond and will remain in a Florida jail cell at least until September when his trial gets underway.
He requested to be released on bail while under strict supervision, so he could travel to South Carolina and deal with his sexual assault case from 2016. However, the court ruled in the prosecution’s favor, saying he’s a danger to the community and shouldn’t be released before trial.
