It was announced on Monday (December 13) that Sony Pictures Television would be retiring The Dr. Oz Show so that the TV personality could pursue his political career and devote more time to running for a senate seat in Pennsylvania.

According to The Wrap, the long-running health and wellness series is set to end on Jan. 14, 2022 and three days later, his daughter Daphne will launch her new Dr. Oz spinoff The Good Dish.

Daphne will be joined by co-hosts Gail Simmons and Jamika Pessoa, who did a weekly cooking segment on Dr. Oz with Daphne.

The show is being described as “an opportunity for viewers to take a seat at the table and enjoy delicious, family friendly recipes served up by the best of the best who bring professional insight, real-life wisdom and dish on the topics of the day while making delectable dishes. The Good Dish will provide simple shortcuts, money-saving tips, must-have trends and effortless how-tos that will make life easier, more delicious and more fun.
