How to Download Apps Larger than 200MB Over Cellular Data On your iPhone

One of the silliest things in iOS was the app download limitation over cellular networks. You couldn’t download apps over 150MB, even if you were on an unlimited data plan or in a country where cellular data is cheap and abundant. Finally, in iOS 13, you can get rid of this cellular data limit and download heavy apps and games on mobile data.

In iOS 13, Apple has changed the cellular behavior in two key ways. When you try to download an app that’s larger than 200MB, you’ll get a popup asking if you want to wait till you’re connected to Wi-Fi or you want to start the download right away. And there’s a new settings item where you can disable this popup altogether. Meaning, no matter how large the app is, it will start downloading over cellular data, instantly. To disable the cellular limit in iOS 13, follow the steps below.

Step 3: Scroll down and find the App Downloads section.

Step 4: Here, you’ll find three options: Always Allow, Ask If Over 200MB and Ask First.

Step 5: To disable the popup, select Always Allow.
