It's day two of Amazon Prime Day and one of our favorite smartphone deals is still live. Google's Pixel 6a is one of the best Android phones on the market thanks to its stellar performance and features at a seriously low price. For those reasons, we prefer the Pixel 6A over the newer 7A.
Now, thanks to one of the best Prime Day deals yet, it's an even better deal at an all-time low price of $249 on Amazon, $100 lower than its regular list price. But act fast, as the deal ends tonight.
A stellar $100 saving for Prime Day on the Google Pixel 6a The best budget Android phone on the marketWith great features, great photo performance, and a stylish look, the Google Pixel 6a is the best budget Android phone you can buy, and one of the best Android phones for the money, period.
One of our favorite features about the Pixel 6a is Google's Tensor processor, which lets you do some very cool things, such as using the Magic Eraser function to instantly remove offending images from your favorite pictures. Its Night Sight photo system also makes it easy to take photos in nearly any light.
While the battery life could be better, it's enough to get the job done. And although its display only offers a 60Hz refresh rate, in testing we found this didn't limit the performance in a significant way.
Frankly, even plenty of premium Android phones have a hard time significantly besting the 6a, and the latest upgrades in the Pixel 7a still can't compete when it comes to sheer value.
If you're looking for a phone for well under $500, the Pixel 6a is our favorite option. Now that it's on sale for just $249 at Amazon, it's a pretty tough deal to pass up. However, if you happen to find more room in your budget, there are also tremendous Prime Day deals on several premium Android phones, including Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
