Police are investigating the theft of a Jackie Robinson statue from outside a youth baseball facility in Wichita, Kansas.
Wichita police released a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying the local community is "devastated" by the crime.

Surveillance footage shows two people knocking over the statue and then a truck coming to pick up the thieves and the stolen statue.
The statue belonged to League 42, a youth baseball league that allows kids to play affordably. Robinson's family gave the league permission to commission the statue, which is part of a pavilion dedicated to the Dodgers legend.
