Tom Brady takes his three children horseback riding in Costa Rica during vacation

Tom Brady took some time on his family vacation in Costa Rica to go horseback riding.

And the husband of Gisele Bundchen had a little fun along the way. 

The NFL quarterback added Lil Nas X's song Old Town Road over a video of his horseback adventure in a video shared to Instagram on Thursday.  

He was seen on the beach with his two sons, each on horses. 

The 41-year-old wore a backwards baseball cap, white t-shirt and dark jeans in the photo. In the photo he is flanked by his two sons John Edward, 11, and Benjamin, nine.

His eldest son with ex Bridget Moynahan, wore a wide brimmed hat, blue shirt and matched his dad in dark jeans, while the younger brother wore a green shirt and light wash jeans.

Tom showed of his comedic skills, sharing a video of himself riding and being filmed from behind.

He captioned the video with what appears to be a conversation between his manager and himself. 

'My manager: don't do it man, that song is dead, we can do better,' the first part said. 

He continued with his response which said. 'Me:' and then was accompanied by lyrics to Old Town Road as the song played over the video.  

The father and sons were also joined by the star's daughter Vivian, six. 

Before they set of his shared photos of 'his little helper' grooming the horses with him. 

He went on to share more photos of his daughter riding as the sunset behind her. 

'Gaucho,' he captioned a video of her, which is a cowboy of South American plains. 

His son John (Jack), was caught by his dad looking over an outlook they reached down to the nature below. 

Missing from the action was his wife Bundchen who seems to have opted out of the adventure. 

The family has been enjoying their vacation to the tropical country ahead of the model's 39th birthday this Saturday. The couple have been married for 10 years.

She has shared snaps getting 'zen' on the beach and learning a new instrument in a tanpura lesson. She was sitting with Vivian as they tried their hand at the traditional instrument. 

The tanpura is a long-necked plucked string instrument, originating from India, found in various forms in Indian music. It does not play melody and it is not a supporting acoustic providing a continuous harmonic bourdon or drone, according to wikipedia.

The Patriots star is gearing up for his 20th season in the NFL and has been using some of their time in South America to train and practice. 

On Wednesday he shared a photo of his daughter in his training gear and called her the 'cutest workout partner.' 

He also snapped himself looking sweaty post-workout after spotting a monkey in a nearby tree.
