Terry Crews Says ‘White Chicks 2’ Is In The Works

Terry Crews delivered some good news on “Watch What Happens Live!”: A sequel to “White Chicks” is in the works.

The “America’s Got Talent” host and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star confirmed to Andy Cohen that he has been in talks with writer-star Shawn Wayans about creating a sequel to the cult comedy.

“You know what, I actually got with Shawn, and he was like, ‘Man, we doing it, we getting it going,'” Crews answered a fan’s question.

“I’ve stayed in shape just for that movie,” Crews said. “I’ve been working out for 15 years so we could do ‘White Chicks 2’, y’all.”

The 2004 movie follows two disgraced FBI agents (played by Marlon and Shawn Wayans) who go undercover as white women to protect a hotel heiress from kidnapping. Crews played the scene-stealing fan-favourite Latrell Spencer, a professional basketball player who falls for Marlon while he’s in disguise. The comedy also features a showstopping performance of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” by Crews, who teases he might just need to deliver another musical performance in the sequel and offers a suggestion for what song he might perform.

“I think the modern-day equivalent to that might be Carly Rae Jepsen ‘Call Me Maybe’.”

Earlier this year, Marlon talked to MTV about the possibility of a “White Chicks” sequel.

“I don’t know, but there’s been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking. So if things go right, we hope to do a ‘White Chicks 2’.”
