How Tennessee basketball players fared in Las Vegas
Kyle Alexander is "blessed to have another opportunity," he said on Twitter on Monday night.
The former Vol signed an NBA contract with the Miami Heat after a successful summer league session in Las Vegas, where he joined four other former UT standouts.
Here's how the five players from Tennessee fared in the Las Vegas portion of the NBA summer league and their contract status:
The No. 22 pick in the NBA Draft — UT's first first-rounder since Tobias Harris in 2011 — started three of his five games with the Celtics.
He averaged 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game. He ranked second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding.
Williams signed a four-year deal Thursday worth $11.8 million. He will make $2.3 million in his rookie season and is getting the full 120 percent of the rookie-scale contract that he is eligible for, according to MassLive.com.
Schofield, selected No. 42 in the draft then traded to the Washington Wizards, played in all five games with one start.
He scored 6.8 points and grabbed 3.2 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game.
Schofield signed a three-year deal with the Wizards, according to the Washington Post.
Bone was picked No. 57 in the draft and after a handful of trades landed with the Detroit Pistons, who locked in on the former Vol point guard.
He had to wait to play until the trades became official. Bone played in three games, averaging 12.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
Bone signed a two-way contract with Detroit. The deal allows Bone to spend time in either the NBA or the NBA’s developmental league during his first season in professional basketball.

Alexander latched on with the Miami Heat after going undrafted. He played in all five games in Las Vegas with one start. He rebounded well, averaging 6.0 boards and 4.8 points in 15.6 minutes per game.
Multiple reports indicated that Alexander signed an Exhibit 10 contract. He'll head to summer camp with the Heat, where he can earn his way onto the Sioux Falls G-League roster.
The contract also can be converted into a two-way contract before the regular season begins, which would allow him to spend time in the NBA as well next season.
Stokes, a second-round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, played this summer league with Portland. He scored 10.6 points and grabbed 6.4 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game.
He has played in 28 NBA games since he was drafted and has spent most of his time in the G League. He also has a pair of overseas stints.
