Recently, I have had a chance to try the Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC with Tenergy 19 and Tenergy 05.  I’ve played with this combination for about 5 hours – and these are my initial feelings.

I have been using Lin Gaoyuan ALC with Dignics 09C and Dignics 05 for a while, so my first impression upon hitting with the Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC and Tenergy 19 is like moving from a Honda to a Lamborghini. The ball-speed is amazing and I feel like I could even smash through Timo Boll.  Looping is a different story – the first few loops flew long and I needed to adjust with a shorter stroke.  After adjusting the stroke length, the ball landed perfectly on the end of the other side with a great amount of spin from the Tenergy 19. The compact stroke helped me regain  balance faster after loops as well. Counter-loop from far is much faster with the ball jumping and kicking when when it lands. Even though it is fast, the paddle provides enough dwell time to control the loop and the block (that applies to both a spin block and a punch block).

Moving on to the question that most people have been asking me: How does it compare to the legendary Zhang Jike Super ZLC? For me personally, the Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC is softer and has more control so that is easier for flipping both backhand and forehand as well as serve return.

Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC is definitely a good choice for intermediate to advanced players – but would not be recommended for a beginner.
