Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer
Question: Hello, I am Aymane, a young tennis player in Morocco, I am very different than others in this sport even my coach have never ever seen a player like me that have this potential at 16 years old, I just want to ask you how I can be professional and be involved in big competitions to serve my country
Answer:
This Ask the Experts question was answered by Min Kim. She is the coach at MK Georgia Table Tennis in Duluth, Georgia. Coach Kim’s response is below:
Hi Aymane, Firstly, if you can, find a coach that used to be a professional player. Secondly, prepare and research to compete in national competitions in Morocco. Thirdly, research if there is a try out to be on the Morocco national team. Lastly, there are 2 different types of international competitions: open competitions (anyone can sign up to compete) and competitions for players in their national team (such as the Olympics). The fastest way to understand how to become a pro is to find a former professional coach that has experience in all the steps I mentioned. Good luck!!
